Arrangement Fee: 0.5%

Interest placed with the lender pre-paid.

Benefit: Flexibility; if you pre-pay interest for a short term mortgage, the lender will allow borrowing without exacting the standard strict affordability measures.

 

High Street Competitor Product

2.39% fixed for 5 years

Arrangement Fee: 0.5%

Benefit: A very cheap 5 year fixed rate competing with high street rates. For one such client, they were able to monetarise the client liquid assets held in their home country (Hong Kong) to use as an income and therefore did not have to place their liquid assets with the bank or move them to the UK.
