We recognise ultra-high net worth clients often don’t fit the criteria of high street – or sometimes even private – banks. Therefore, they require a more bespoke solution and some out of the box strategising.
Our brokers are often approached by clients who have very specific requirements for private equity, hedge fund, and family office lending, because they know this is often the best way to get the flexibility they need, and quickly.
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF PRIVATE EQUITY, HEDGE FUND AND FAMILY OFFICE LENDING
Clients of private equity firms, for example, will allow the firms to reinvest their money for a return. In some cases, they will choose the investment themselves, and others will allow the private equity professional to make decisions on their behalf.
Families who are clients of private offices will do likewise, but often only to other clients of that private office.
The same is true with hedge funds, and all these options provide an alternative to private banks, and tend to come with fewer restrictions. However, they are priced accordingly, and clients should be prepared to pay a slightly higher rate for the more flexible approach.
Despite it being a more expensive option, they offer more flexibility when it comes to speed of transaction, term of loan, and amount accessible, so they are worth considering in certain situations.
HOW CAN ENNESS PRIVATE OFFICE HELP?
As well as our network of over 250 lenders, we have relationships beyond banking, and have contacts at the top private equity firms, hedge funds and family offices. This enables our brokers to offer their clients every available option to them, depending on their unique circumstances.
While some banks might deem a client’s income structure too complicated, we take into account factors beyond just your salary. Your bonus, vested stock, and other investments will all be assessed, and we know the lenders to approach who will do the same.
Structuring your case effectively is essential, and we are experts in doing just this.
